Spending his childhood in Korea, Elliot grew up surrounded by music, yet it was the kind that suffocated him. After failing to live the dreams that his mother forced on him, he moved to the Philippines at 16 and was raised by his aunt and uncle. Despite closing his heart to music and burying the wounds of the past, working at his uncle’s record store reignited the passion he once had—which bloomed into his love for musical theater. Taking a scholarship in Ateneo de Manila University, he pursued BA Theater Arts and is now surrounded by a kind of music that resonates with him.
